Storing in Connecticut's climate

Connecticut units swing between humid summers and hard freezes. Winter lows run from around 17°F in the north to more than 25°F along the southern coast. Drain fuel and water from equipment before winter, and keep paint and liquids out. In summer, add desiccant and leave airflow gaps between stacks. After nor’easters, check that snowmelt has not crept under the door.

Storage rules in Connecticut

Connecticut renters get a long cushion. Under Conn. Gen. Stat. 42-164, a lien sale cannot happen sooner than 60 days after the date of default, or sooner than 10 days after the sale is advertised.

If an email notice from your facility shows up, open it. Section 42-161 treats opening the message as acceptance, and if it goes unopened for seven days the owner must resend by registered or certified mail.
