Storing in Minnesota's climate

Drain fuel and water from boats, campers, and pressure washers, pull batteries, and leave paint, aerosols, and electronics at home or in climate control. Put pallets under everything so spring melt stays off your boxes.
Storage rules in Minnesota
Storing a car or boat in a Minnesota unit? If rent goes unpaid, Minn. Stat. 514.973 lets the owner have it towed instead of auctioned. A vehicle or watercraft cannot be sold sooner than 60 days after default, compared with 45 days for other belongings.
Once the towing company takes possession, the owner’s lien ends. You must be sent the tow company’s name, address and phone number, plus where the vehicle can be redeemed, so hold on to that notice.
